STOWGA
FORD
Relaunching the Stowga warehousing marketplace. Improving experiences across the site, expanding the brand and designing an adaptive UI system.
Stowga turns the lengthy offline process of renting warehouse space into a quick and easy interaction.
The marketplace site needed to put forward its key principles of simplicity and transparency, ensuring a wide range of audiences could interact and make deals with ease.
To achieve that, Stowga’s basic brand needed expanding into a comprehensive UI system.
Ford's annual sustainability report is designed as a dedicated website. I was hired to co-design the 2016-17 website.
Working alongside the design director and the lead developer in a close iterative fashion, I was responsible for designing responsive layouts, infographics, and UX for specific elements that required a solution outside the existing style guide.
The design takes an editorial approach, in order to present a large amount of information in away that is user-friendly and easy to navigate. Crafted with a wide range of user journeys in mind, the seamless, responsive design makes the site easy to read on a laptop, tablet or mobile phone.
YEAR: 2018-19
This is the heart of the platform, where users can view and filter warehouses that match their criteria. The filters are granular and allow a lot of fine-tuning.

The map view
Location and local information are key factors for choosing a warehouse, so the map has to provide access to this information.
Building on the newly established principles of spaciousness and simplicity, we created a new ‘inverted map’.
The white sea ensures that the map stands out on the page, without using harsh means like bold outlines or huge fonts.
We kept going back to the research to make sure the right information stands out, while unnecessary data is hidden.
Warehouse profile page
Clicking on a listing will take the user to the listing's profile page. This page contains more information about the warehouse and the booking process.
Reservations area
Clicking "connect" creates a new reservation in the reservations area. This area has two modes - buyer and seller (as users can be both).
This is the other side of the Stowga marketplace, where warehouse managers can add and manage their assets and review their performance o the market.
To differentiate it from the rest of the platform, we gave the admin area a "dark mode" look, which creates a more somber, technical look and feel.
Site management is where Stowga sellers can list their warehouses on the marketplace, manage settings and reviews, and download reports.
Creating a listing is a complex process with many variables, but sellers can choose how granular they want to be by choosing to fill out optional fields.
